2007 – Alberta

After almost 30 years of practice in his home province Tim continues his career at the Pembina Medical Clinic where he is sought out for his personality, professionalism and respect for his patients.

Teaching is one of Tim’s greatest joys. A Clinical Rural Preceptor for Family Medicine, Tim has been honoured by the Professional Association of Interns and Residents with the Rural Clinical Teaching Award.

Tim recently served as Chief of Staff at the Westlock Health Care Centre. He is Past-President of the Alberta College of Family Physicians and Medical Editor of Family Health Magazine. He is a strong contributor to the Alberta Physician Office System Program as a lead physician in the implementation of electronic medical records.

Tim and his wife Doreen have three children – and all are recognized throughout Westlock for making the community a much better place to live.

“The observation of the human condition with its triumphs and pathos is a family doc’s daily reality; my hope is for the eloquence to translate and interpret it properly.”
